A tremendous overall 26-13 win brought table toppers Humberside down to earth at the Shamrock Club over the weekend. An 8-4 win the Men's "B" on Saturday was the first time that the Humberside "B" team had lost for over two years.
On Saturday the Ladies "B" team drew 3-3 with debutant Laura Camp winning 3-1 there was a winning return to form by Janet Driscoll but it was Sue Jordan who won 3-2- a 16.59 average who took the Match Award.
The Men's "B" team had a great 8-4 win there was some excellent performances from the players but it was last player on Wayne Stubbings completing a great 3-0 win and a 31.31 average to win the Match Award, unluckiest loser was Eron Walkes who deserved to win his game.
On Sunday the Ladies "A" team had a field day by winning 5-1 with excellent all round games but it was Jo Kitchen on first who won the Match Award winning3-0 with a 17.48 aveage.
The Men's "A" team won the first two lost the next four then won five games in row to win 7-5 to preserve their unbeaten record this season with once again some excellent averages but it was first player on who set the standard to win the Match award with a 4-2 win and a 27.11 average.
A terrific win and a great result for all the Hertfordshire players over the weekend.
