Hertfordshire Youth team claimed a narrow 8-7 win over Suffolk Youths at the Shamrock Club, on Sunday, with the scores level at 7-7 the last two players on were level at 2-2 and Joshua Sinkovits of Suffolk had the the throw but Rex Cole kept the scores level down to the double with both players having a couple of darts at the doubles, it was Rex Cole who kept his nerve to hit the winning double to give Hertfordshire Youths an overall win.
In the Under18/s lost their game 3-4 with wins by Stephen Beattie 2-1, Brian Stanton who won the match award 2-1 and Georgia Stern 2-0.
The Under 21 Ladies had another very good 3-0 win by Sammy Jefferies 2-1,Stacie Pinnuck the match award winner 2-0 and Danielle Fry 2-1.
With overall score now 6-4 to Hertfordshire it was left to thye Under 21 Males Doug Thomas lost 0-3 it was now 6-5 but match award winner Dan Varney won 3-1 to make it 7-5 but two defeats by Martin Hill 1-3 and Harry Fenstra 0-3 brought the scores level at 7-7 but Rex Cole on last won 3-2 to give the Youth team overall victory.
Well done to both teams a good game played in the spirit of darts and well done to Hertfordshire Youth team an excellent win.
